Introducing SILVA: A Journey from the Heart of Edinburgh’s Forest to Peckham, London

Each of our products are created with the purpose of attending to the body, the mind, and the senses. Our latest creation, SILVA, draws inspiration from the enchanting forests of the UK, capturing the essence of their smells, sounds, and textures.

How it all began

Finding moments of peace and calm is more important than ever. Washing our hands—an often overlooked act—typically marks the transition of one part of your day to the next. Whether returning from work or before preparing a meal, this ritual offers the perfect opportunity to pause, breathe and restore.

At Reia, we’ve dedicated ourselves to transforming this everyday act into a ritual that allows us to deepen our connection with nature. When creating SILVA—much like all our scents—we used nature’s scenery as our starting canvas. We envisioned a fragrance that would bring the serene essence of a forest into everyday life.

Crafting SILVA: A Harmony of Nature

After months of meticulous work and collaboration with aromatherapist Abi Titterington Lough, we are proud to present SILVA Hand Wash. Inspired by the forest, this essential oil blend offers a grounding, crisp woody aroma, harmoniously balanced with citrus and floral notes. This scent provides a restorative experience with lasting warmth and depth.

The Essence of SILVA

Each plant oil was chosen not only for its aromatic qualities but also for its beneficial properties. 

• Juniper supports the respiratory system, encouraging deep, expansive breathing—much like the cleansing breath of fresh air you take when you step into a forest.
• Petitgrain derived from the bitter orange tree, imparts a bright, green, and subtly citrusy aroma. This boasts a calming effect, helping to ease the mind and body.
• Rose Geranium offers a sweet, rosy fragrance with a hint of mint. This essential oil with its balancing and restorative qualities, fosters a sense of connectedness, grounding you in the present moment.

Our Approach to Formulations

Much like all our products, SILVA is free from parabens, silicones, SLS, SLES, mineral oils and harsh detergents. It is crafted from 100% natural ingredients of the highest quality. This dedication ensures that our products are both kind to the skin and respectful of the environment.

Ingredient Highlights

• Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate A gentle surfactant that creates a luxurious foam while preserving the skin’s natural moisture barrier.
• Decyl Glucoside A mild, plant-based cleanser that effectively removes impurities without stripping natural oils. It’s gentle and well-suited for sensitive skin.
• Glycolipids Naturally derived compounds that moisturise and condition the skin. They also serve as mild cleansers, leaving skin soft and hydrated.
• Gluconolactone A gentle exfoliant that removes dead skin cells and improves texture. It also acts as a humectant, helping to retain moisture in the skin.
